Cross country skiing in Lapland 

We are cooperating with an experienced local wilderness guide since more than 40 years in organising xc skiing tours in one of the most beautiful National Parks of Finland.

Ylläs – Pallas – Ounastururi National Park

Ounastururi National Park is near the well-known Levi resort (alpine ski world cup). Skiing tracks extend for more than 3000 km with a marvelous scenic view of a mountain range called Tunturi. The highest ski track point is 800 m above the sea level. We shall ski from one hut to the next. Daily starting point will depend on the distance travelled as well as the stopping point of the previous day.            Your luggage will be transported, so you only have to carry a rucksack (camera, lunch, ……)

 
The standard tour is  

from Rauhala to Hetta

 Within 6 days you will cover a distance of 150 km and we will show you the most beautiful parts of the National Park. 

 
For those who would like it more challenging we recommend the longer tour 
 

from Hetta to Ylläs 

 covering 250 km in 6 days

what you should bring

 Cross country skiing equipment (can be rented on-site at a fee) 
 warm ski clothes and comfortable casual suits for the evening 
 a light sleeping bag, 
 day rucksack, 
 photo camera + tripod (possibly for night shots of polar light)
